Nichols earned an important two points at Appleby to keep the Vikings in first place of the CISAA league. Nichols ised three goals in a 1:12 span of the first period to secure the 3-2 victory. Avery Coppins scored midway through the first period to put Nichols up 1-0. Andrew Stein scored 60 seconds later on the power play, and Andrew Poturalski capped the scoring off the ensuing faceoff 12 seconds later. Nichols did a great job of holding on to the lead as Peter Borgesi made 22 saves to preserve the victory.
Nichols will travel to St. Miichael's College on Jan 15 to finish the three game league series.
