The Nichols School Boys Prep team traveled to Toronto to play gamae 3 of the season series against St. Michael's College and left with a 5-3 win and a 2-0-1 series record. It was a shaky start for Nichols as they gave up the first goal of the game and a 1-0 deficit at the end of the first. Nichols would regroup, outhshooting St. Mike's 19-3 in the second period and taking a 3-1 lead into the third period. Andrew Poturalski started the scoring for the Vikings. Jack O'Connor's shorthanded goal gave Nichols a lead they would not surrender, and Avery Coppins banged in a rebound to end the second period barrage. In the third, James Randaccio extended the lead to 4-1. After penalties opened the door for St. Mike's and closed the gap to 4-3, Jordan Berninger capped off a rush to give Nichols the two goal lead. Peter Borgesi did the rest as he stopped 18 in the game and earned his eighth win of the season.
Nichols will face Appleby College on January 18 at Dann Arena. The puck drops at 4:00.
