The schedule is out for the 2017 Ridley College Tiger Cup, and the field will be a competitive one. Twelve teams will make the journey to St. Catherine's, ON for the chance to take hom some hardware. The Big Green will have a challenging draw in its first appearance at this longstanding tournament.

Big Green Responds with Weekend Sweep
In Game 1 of the home and home series, the line of Cole
Donhauser (Sr/Kenmore), Dylan Lugris
(So/Buffalo) and Max Fox
(Jr/Amherst) combined for 5 goals to lead the Big Green to an 8-1 victory
in Syracuse, NY. Donhauser netted 3
goals on the evening while Lugris and Fox had single tallies. This was the first Nichols goal for Fox. Chris
Morrison (Sr/Ridgefield, CT) netted 2 goals of his own, while linemate Ryan Leonard (Jr/Orchard Park) scored
his first goal in a Nichols uniform. Robbie Nuchereno (Jr/Williamsville)
picked up the win making 22 saves on the evening.
Game 2 featured another strong performance for the Big Green in an
11-1 victory over the Syracuse Stars. Dylan Lugris (So/Buffalo) netted 3
goals and linemate Cole Donhauser
(Sr/Kenmore) netted two of his own. Noah Szretter (So/Lancaster) and Carl
Russo (Sr/Tonawanda) each scored their first two Nichols goals while Robbie Maulucci (Jr/Buffalo) netted his
first Nichols goal. Ryan Leonard (Jr/Orchard Park) scored for the second game in a
row. Michael Delehanty (So/Hermitage, PA) picked up his first Nichols
win making 17 saves on the day.
2017-18 Season Opener Goes to Jr Sabres
It was a difficult season opener for the Big Green as the
fell to cross town rival 5-1 on Saturday night at the Harbor Center. Dylan
Lugris (So/Buffalo) opened the scoring for the season with a goal in the
opening minutes of the first period. The
Buffalo Jr Sabres responded in the next shift to tie the game, and the first
period would end in a 1-1 tie. The Jr
Sabres scored three in the second to take control of the game and added the
final goal late in the third period. Robbie Nuchereno (Jr/Williamsville) was
strong in net making 36 saves on the day.
